Bridget Sullivan:
Hello to the folks back at home! I’m Bridget Sullivan, a sophomore Psychology and Humanities major from Syracuse, New York. Our group woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to tackle our last day duties at good ol’ Rocky Creek! We tied up some loose ends, like cleaning up signs and painting GIGANTIC electrical cable spools (coming soon to the sensory trail stations). Me, Josh, and Jordan put on our creative caps and got to work. After a final swipe of paint, our masterpiece was complete—a Villanova basketball themed spool! Luckily, we finished just in time in for lunch… Subway… again. The rest of the day was spent down by the lake house soaking in our final moments at the ranch. We squared up with some rambunctious goats and cuddled with the cutest miniature donkeys. Toward the end of our time, some of us kayaked on “the lake” or played tag under the sun with golden retrievers, Lucy and Denver. I on the other hand enjoyed a delightful little catnap on a bench while Jordan played with my hair. Sadly, we all relentingly had to say goodbye to Tracy and the rest of Rocky Creek. Although we were all a little down in the dumps, dinner was just what we needed to raise our spirits! I think I can confidently say that this experience has transformed each and every one of us in very special and unique ways.

Jordan Murray:
Hii!! I’m Jordan Murray and I’m a sophomore Mechanical Engineer from Long Island, New York. This morning we woke up with the unfortunate reality that this would be our last day spending time at Rocky Creek. We started off the day painting and finishing up our projects that we’ve been working on all week and it was honestly so amazing to see it all come together. I worked with Josh and Bridget today on creating a Villanova dedicated spool to put on the Discovery Trail. We then ate lunch and spent the rest of the day having recreational time to explore Rocky Creek more, and all that it has to offer. A couple of those things were playing with goats, hanging out with the donkeys, and kayaking on the lake at the site. All along the way we got to know each other more, improved our relationships, and continued to make incredibly funny and special memories together. During our reflection time we talked about our week. We talked about everything we learned, what we took away from it, our special moments, and how we can apply all of this to our lives outside of this week. It made me think about how this trip has reminded me how to live in the moment and be completely present and in the moment. I can safely say this trip was an amazing opportunity that I will never forget and that I will cherish forever.
